The Silicon Valley Investors Club (SVIC) is a community created for tech employees to learn about investing. This group is dedicated to learning about all types of investing from Real Estate, Stocks, Bonds, Startups, purchasing companies, financial planning and etc. Each day a story related to investments will be posted to the group as a starting off point for investor discussion. Please join our Facebook and LinkedIn group.
History: SVIC started as an employee-organized group at Google (Google Real Estate Investors Club) founded in 2014 by Jordan Thibodeau. Since then the internal group has grown to 3,500 members. Due to the size and scope of the group, we decided to form SVIC in order to let current and former tech employees take part in our rich discussions.
Rules: You must be a current or former tech employee. No real estate agents, brokers, syndicators trying to raise funds, or owners of commission based businesses are allowed to be part of this group or solicit this group for transactions. You DO NOT have to live in Silicon Valley to join this group.
Community manager or head cat herder: Jordan Thibodeau. You can read some of Jordan’s real estate writings at the Biggerpockets blog. And if you want to talk about real estate investing, feel free to book time with Jordan here.
I created a free Tech Employees Real Estate Investors Toolbox that has tons of resources and tips to help you along your investing journey.
